What is Chamber of Secrets?

An evening of magic, music, comedy and illusion in a 44-seat theatre in Torremolinos, with your drinks brought to your seat all night.

The room is small enough that nobody is at the back and nobody is left out. It's a night out rather than a night watching.

What language is the show in?

English. Our performers are British, and we've had guests from Spain, Germany, France, Russia and beyond who've loved it — a lot of what we do doesn't need translating.

How long does it last?

Doors open at 19:30 and the show starts at 20:00. There are two intervals, and we usually finish somewhere around 22:30 to 23:00.

Those times are a guide rather than a promise. Some nights run a little longer than others.

Is it suitable for children?

Children are very welcome and they love it — but it isn't a children's show. It's an evening for the whole room, adults included.

We'd rate it PG. There's some adult humour, and one moment that's a little gory if you're squeamish.

Anyone under 18 needs to come with an adult.

Can I bring a baby?

Yes. Under-2s come free and 2 to 4 year olds are €10, though everyone needs a seat booked.

We'd leave it to your judgement — it's a dark, quiet room and a crying baby is hard work for you as well as everyone else. We usually seat families with babies at the end of a row so you can slip outside for a few minutes if you need to.

Is it the same show every time?

Not entirely. We put new material in every year, so if you came last summer you'll see things you haven't — though some favourites stay.

How much are tickets?

Everyone needs a seat booked, including the free ones.

What's included?

Lager, wine, sangria, water and soft drinks — unlimited, all evening, brought to your seat. No bar queue and no tab at the end.

If you'd like more than that, there are two packages you can add on the night:

• Silver, €10 a head — adds cava and local spirits
• Gold, €20 a head — everything in Silver, plus named spirits and cocktails

Both are unlimited for the whole evening.

What is VIP?

VIP guarantees you the front row. It's €25 on top of an adult ticket, €10 on top of a child or infant ticket, and free for under-2s — and it includes everything in the Gold package plus a snack.

There are only six VIP places each night, and they count everyone in the seats, babies included. Children can book VIP alongside an adult.

Is VIP worth it?

That depends on whether you mind where you sit.

Without it, we'll seat you wherever works best for the room — which might be the front, and might be the back. VIP is the only way to be certain you're at the front.

It's five euros more than Gold, and you get the snack and the guaranteed seat as well. If you don't mind where you sit, don't book it.

Is there food?

No — just snacks on the night.

There are plenty of restaurants five minutes' walk away on the Carihuela seafront. Do leave yourself plenty of time to eat, though: service along there can be leisurely, and you don't want to be rushing.

Do you offer discounts?

No. We charge the same price wherever you book, including for groups.

Can I choose my seats?

Not unless you book VIP, which guarantees the front row.

Otherwise we seat every party ourselves, working out the room in advance. We take account of your group size and the ages of any children so everyone can see and everyone is comfortable.

We've booked separately — will we sit together?

Only if you tell us. Seating is arranged in advance, so if you've booked in two separate bookings and want to sit together, let us know before the night and we'll put you together.

Can you take a large group?

We can take whole-venue bookings by arrangement — get in touch and we'll talk it through.

For ordinary bookings there's no group rate, and no discount for numbers.

Where are you?

Av. Carlota Alessandri, 136–140, 29620 Torremolinos, Málaga.

We're right by La Carihuela, close to Montemar, and an easy trip from Benalmádena and Fuengirola.

Can I get the bus?

Yes — the stop is right outside. It's called Carlota Alessandri, and Carihuela is a moment further along.

Four routes stop there: the M-110 (Málaga – Torremolinos – Benalmádena Costa), the M-121 (Mijas – Benalmádena – Torremolinos), the M-123 (Churriana – Torremolinos – Benalmádena Costa) and the M-126 (Benalmádena – Torremolinos).

The M-110 is the useful one for most people. It runs from early morning until around 1am, so there's a bus home afterwards, and it's adapted for reduced mobility.

Coming from Fuengirola, take the C-1 train to Torremolinos and pick up the M-110 from there.

Where can I park?

There's a 24-hour underground car park directly outside us.

Street parking nearby is very limited, so we'd not rely on finding a space.

Is it easy in a taxi?

Most drivers know us. Give them the address — Avenida Carlota Alessandri, 136 to 140, in La Carihuela.

Do you include transport?

No. We keep the ticket price down by leaving you to make your own way, and we're easy to reach by bus, taxi or car.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open at 19:30 for a 20:00 start. Please come in good time — latecomers disturb the show for everyone, and we may not be able to let you in after 20:10.

If you know you're going to be late, contact us in advance.

What should I wear?

Smart casual. We're not strict about it and nobody's going to be turned away for their shoes — but no swimwear, and please keep your shirt on.

Is the venue air conditioned?

Yes. In the height of summer we like to keep everyone cool.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes.

Please tell us when you book if anyone in your party has a disability, mobility need or anything else we should know about, and we'll seat you accordingly. We can't promise suitable seating for things we only learn about on the night.

Which nights are you open?

In peak season, Tuesday to Saturday. We're closed Mondays and Sundays.

Outside the summer there may be more closed nights, so check the booking page for what's actually on.

Can I take photographs?

Photographs, yes — with your flash turned off.

No filming during the show, and please don't use your phone for anything else once we've started. A lit screen in a room this size is distracting for everyone, and genuinely difficult for the performers, who can see every one of them.

We sometimes photograph and film the show ourselves and use it to promote Chamber of Secrets. If you'd rather not appear, just tell us and we'll make sure you don't.

It's a birthday — will you mention it?

We don't do announcements or shout-outs. In a room this size everyone is already close to the action, and the evening works better without singling anyone out.

Do tell us it's a special occasion when you book, though, and we'll look after you.

Can I get a refund?

Tickets are non-refundable. That includes not being able to come, and arriving too late to be admitted.

If we ever cancel or substantially change a show, you'll receive a full refund.

How do I get my tickets?

There's nothing to print. Book online and give your name at the door.
